If you're in New York City right now, you know exactly what I'm talking about. The weather, the people, the music, the energy...

June was sort of a turning point for me. As of two weeks from now, I will no longer be playing at Lime Leaf on Thursday nights. I know, it's a tragedy. But I kind of needed a change, so I will be staking out a new place to play with my jazz trio come Fall and focusing more of my energies on other projects...

like Free Association! We'll be playing at KORZO in Brooklyn on July 12 as part of Jim Carney's Konceptions series. Korzo is a great Slavic restaurant/lounge in South Park Slope. Jim Carney has been curating a series of new and experimental music there for the past two years. We're all really, really psyched for this. AND Jamie Saft/Mike Pride duo plays before us, at 9PM, so come see both!

Also, the week after that on July 19th, I will be playing with my new trio BOTIQUIN, with Evan Crane and Michael Attias at the Local 269. Ben Syversen's Cracked Vessel and Jonah Parzen-Johnson's solo saxophone project, Michiana, is sharing the bill.

Like I said...hotness.

Stay Beautiful,
